Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Clinical Skills and Simulation Education for Pharmacy UNSW Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia Employment Type: Part-time (14 hours a week) Duration: Continuing Remuneration: $127k - $178k base, pro-rata (+17% super and leave loading) Work rights: Candidates must hold full rights to work in Australia. Location: Kensington, Sydney About the Role This newly created position will significantly contribute to the delivery of high-quality, integrated clinical skills teaching at UNSW Pharmacy. The role involves teaching pharmacy students in the Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Medicine / Master of Pharmacy program and future initiatives focused on prescribing and the extended scope of practice. The position is part of the multidisciplinary Clinical Skills and Simulation team within the Faculty of Medicine and Health, preparing students for safe, competent, and person‑centered clinical practice through expert knowledge and high‑fidelity simulation equipment. Key responsibilities include: Modelling best practice clinical technique. Fostering student engagement and ensuring educational activities align with program requirements and clinical safety standards. Collaborating with academic and professional staff in the design and delivery of clinical education. Qualifications and Experience Level B Qualification in a relevant health discipline and maintenance of registration from AHPRA. Evidence of professional development in pedagogy, disciplinary knowledge, and professional accreditation. Demonstrated excellence in patient communication and bedside clinical skills, recent clinical experience supporting differential diagnosis. Experience teaching clinical skills: physical assessment, differential diagnosis, clinical reasoning, management planning, prescribing and communication. Experience teaching therapeutics. Ability to work collaboratively with academic and professional staff and commitment to student learning in a safe, inclusive environment. Level C (in addition to the above) Significant experience in teaching and learning design for clinical skills, development and delivery of courses at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level. Evidence of professional development in teaching and a strong track record of teaching excellence, including fostering excellence in others. Demonstrated success in initiating curriculum development and improvement. Demonstrated ability in the leadership of education‑focused research initiatives. Benefits and Culture Flexible working.
