The Role Reporting to the Engineering & Reliability Manager this role will see you help deliver the Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls Engineering function for the Phosphate Hill and Mount Isa operations. You will primarily oversee and lead a small team while improving maintenance and reliability performance across the 2 sites. You will lead a team to deliver and personally contribute to : Positively contributing to “Zero Harm” and the development of an interdependent safety culture Leading and developing a small electrical engineering team Ownership of the electrical safety management system Monitoring compliance to relevant external statutory regulation and internal plant and engineering standards Maintaining effective working relationships to champion change and instigate and manage improvement projects . Using the IPL Business Excellence initiative to drive continuous improvement. What you’ll bring Ideally you will have proven experience as an Electrical Engineer with leadership experience. Other desirable skills and experience include : You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering Experience working in a chemical manufacturing or mining environment People leadership experience Technical knowledge and experience of Electrical, Instrumentation and Control Systems RPEQ or CPENG preferable If you are excited about the role and think you have what it takes but your experience doesn’t align 100% we still want to hear from you.
