The role is integral to ensuring robust financial management, supporting business decision‑making, and maintaining compliance with statutory requirements. The successful candidate will be a proactive, detail‑oriented professional with the ability to work closely with the Managing Director and Partners and oversee a small finance team. Responsibilities Prepare and deliver the full set of monthly management accounts. Work closely with Leadership to provide accurate monthly reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Oversee the Finance Officer to ensure efficient day‑to‑day financial operations. Manage corporate finance requirements, including BAS returns, FBT returns, and tax preparation. Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory obligations. Provide financial analysis and insights to support practice strategy and operational decisions. Maintain strong internal controls and efficient financial systems. Skills & Attributes Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably within professional services. Strong corporate finance knowledge and technical accounting skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with Partners and colleagues across the practice. Highly organised, with strong time management and prioritisation abilities. Analytical mindset with attention to accuracy and detail. Proficiency in Xero accounting software and financial reporting tools. Qualifications Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. CPA / CA qualification (or working towards) strongly preferred. Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level. Employment type: Full‑time. Job function: Accounting / Auditing.
