If so, due to an internal promotion, we have a position in our expanding Property Accounting team at Sentinel Property Group as a Property Accountant. What would your day-to-day look like? Reporting to our Property Accounting Manager, as our Property Accountant, you will oversee a Property Portfolio and complete financial reports relating to the property operations and integrity. We manage 62 commercial properties across 15 active trusts, including Caneland Central (Mackay's number one shopping centre) and Casuarina Square (NT's number one shopping centre), led by our CEO and Founder, Warren Ebert, also known as the 'Property Whisperer'. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following: Ensure financial accuracy and integrity for a portfolio of allocated property assets; Produce accurate monthly financial reports, including profit & loss, revenue verification, balance sheet reconciliations, property forecasts, and budgets; Prepare analytical data for the company’s management team; Contribute to outgoings audits, respond to audit queries, and conduct periodic reviews of financial information to ensure integrity; Provide regular commentary and review of financial performance with with the Property Accounting Manager and Property Management Team; and Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders (internal and external) and provide financial advice and support when required. Thorough understanding and 3+ years’ experience working in a property accounting role; Experience in Property Accounting (essential); Experience in MRI Property Software (highly desirable); Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products (Word, Excel); Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
