Property Accountant A growing property organisation, with an excellent brand within the Australian market, is looking for a Property Accountant to join their growing team, initially on a contract basis. This newly created role works closely with the Finance Manager within an established team. An excellent opportunity to join an employer of choice in the Sydney market. Base pay range A$120,000.00/yr - A$130,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Excolo. Responsibilities Monitor financial activities and report variances. Prepare financial reports, including annual financial reports. Managing the general ledger including the review of various monthly balance sheet, banking, and inter-company reconciliations. Assist with half-year reporting. Ensuring Accounting standards and policies are adhered to. Preparation of technical accounting papers and or finance policies and procedures. Assist with trust distribution calculations. Distribution statements. Quarterly forecasts & budgets. Ensure timely regular monthly reporting. Financial statement preparation. Assist with audit preparation and dealing with auditors. Qualifications CA/CPA qualified or part-qualified, with ideally 2-3 years’ commercial experience. You will also ideally have strong management accounting background, technically sound, with the ability to build relationships with both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Exposure to working within the property sector is essential. Candidates coming straight out of Big 4/audit with relevant experience working with property companies, would also be considered. Property accounting experience is essential. This opportunity is to start immediately. Candidates on visas with the relevant experience will be considered.
