Property Accountant A$120,000.00/yr - A$140,000.00/yr Employment type Contract Seniority level Mid-Senior level Job function & Industries Accounting/Auditing and Finance Real Estate and Real Estate and Equipment Rental Services About the Employer A growing property organisation, with an excellent brand within the Australian market, are looking for a Property Accountant to join their growing team, initially on a contract basis. This is a newly created role working closely with the Finance Manager and working within an established team. This is an excellent opportunity to join an employer of choice within the Sydney market. Responsibilities Monitor financial activities and report variances. Prepare financial reports, including annual financial reports. Managing the general ledger including the review of various monthly balance sheet, banking, and inter-company reconciliations. Assist with half-year reporting. Ensuring Accounting standards and policies are adhered to. Preparation of technical accounting papers and or finance policies and procedures. Assist with trust distribution calculations. Distribution statements. Quarterly forecasts & budgets. Ensure timely regular monthly reporting. Financial statement preparation. Assist with audit preparation and dealing with auditors. Qualifications CA/CPA qualified or part-qualified, with ideally 2-3 years’ commercial experience. Strong management accounting background, technically sound, with the ability to build relationships with both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Exposure to working within the property sector is essential. Candidates coming straight out of Big 4/audit with relevant experience working with property companies, would also be considered.
