School Crossing Supervisor - Newcastle Local Government Area School Crossing Supervisor – Casual – Newcastle Local Government Area Organisation/Entity: Transport For NSW Job category: Safety Job location: Newcastle, NSW, AU, 2300 Job reference number: Employment type: Casual Salary range: $33.83 - $33.83 per hour In this role You’ll become a Road Safety Hero who is highly respected in the community, protecting children, parents, teachers and local motorists. You’ll be a familiar face around schools and have the opportunity to positively impact countless families. This casual position offers relief at sites in the Newcastle Local Government Area. Shifts may fall between school zone hours 8:00‑9:30 am and 2:30‑4:00 pm, with a minimum one‑hour shift as required Monday‑Friday during the school term. You will receive an hourly rate plus superannuation. About you Community‑minded, reliable, and willing to work in all weather conditions. Genuine interest in building community relationships and keeping kids safe. Excellent communication skills and an alert eye for potential dangers. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. All training, uniforms, and equipment will be provided. Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check, Reference Checks, Police Check, and a Health Assessment is vital. If you already have a Working with Children Check, that will accelerate the process.
