Base pay range : A$125,000.00/yr - A$145,000.00/yr Overview The Commercial Manager will play a key role in supporting the strategic growth and commercial success of Dabble’s global online sports betting business operating in Australia, the USA, and the UK. This position requires a commercially‑minded person with strong analytical and financial acumen, curiosity about market dynamics, and the ability to collate a broad range of financial and industry data into actionable insights. The role will directly support commercial negotiations, budgeting and forecasting, licensing efforts, regulatory submissions, and commercial decision‑making by delivering robust market research, financial modelling, customer analysis, industry benchmarking, and growth forecasting. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive research and financial analysis on betting markets, consumer behaviour, and industry activity across “home markets” (Australia, USA, UK) and expansion targets. Develop financial models and analytical frameworks to assess market trends, project revenue, and evaluate profitability and cost efficiency. Assist in preparing management reports, financial forecasts, and variance analyses to support strategic decision‑making. Assist in providing analysis and assessment on new business development opportunities (including M&A) and support business case preparation. Support new product development and market entry initiatives through feasibility studies, cost‑benefit analysis, and market‑fit assessments. Review and summarise industry publications, key bulletins, analyst reports and economic data relevant to sports betting, daily fantasy sports and iGaming. Assist in compiling evidence and research for license applications, regulatory submissions, and compliance reporting. Provide analytical support to the broader commercial team, including performance dashboards, KPI tracking, ROI analyses, and management reporting. Assist in review and negotiation of key commercial contracts, including reviewing supplier performance, contract renewals, service levels, and cost structures. Contribute to scenario planning, business casing, budgeting, and go‑to‑market financial strategies. Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, accounting, law, or data analytics, or a related field. Qualified accountant designation (CPA, CA, CIMA or equivalent) highly regarded. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate complex financial and operational data into clear commercial insights. Strong research, financial modelling and analytical problem‑solving capabilities. Familiarity with the online sports betting or gaming industries and their commercial frameworks. Proficiency in financial and data analysis tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, Quicksight, PowerPoint). Preferred Experience working in a regulated or audited industry, or contributing to financial reporting and licensing submissions. Understanding of global wagering markets, especially in Australia, the USA, and/or the UK. Are you a Dabbler?
