Community Manager @ THE CREATIVE C0-OPERATIVE

vor 2 Wochen

Melbourne, Österreich The Community Collective Pty Ltd Vollzeit

The Creative Co-Operative is Australia’s first startup agency that is 100% owned, led and operated by migrant Women of Colour focused on lifting the economic access barriers faced by WoC. We do this by engaging WoC in paid professional work across design, marketing, and digital projects. This work, in turn, helps fund our community projects to directly amplify and support the WoC community. To date we have provided 30+ paid opportunities for Women of Colour and we just turned 6 months old the other week. If you heard about impact projects like #ShareThePlatform and the Curious About Culture Festival – we were behind them too. Check us out on instagram on @creative_cooperative where we are most active About the Team As a brand new social enterprise, we are a small team who wear multiple hats and swap tasks if we need to. As a Community Manager, your role will be to engage with and support our various community groups to set up for success. You will work with our team, clients, partners, creatives, entrepreneurs, and other groups across both client projects and community projects. You We’re seeking a passionate Community Manager to join our team and advocate for the success of our clients and of our community of WoC. It's a big job and it's not a 9 to 5 particularly because we are a very early stage organisation that is already punching far, far above its weight. This is made possible by our sheer hard work and determination so resilience, hunger and a natural ability to work hard, fast, and as efficiently as possible is the key to success in this role. You’re a natural problem solver and your first instinct is to answer a question on your own (Google’s your best friend) before asking others. You are also sensational at driving performance improvement practices for example establishing processes, systems, playbooks, and reports to increase our productivity and decrease our costs. Responsibilities Community Management: Identify, recruit, onboard and develop a diverse range of community groups for our different client and impact projects using data and analytical insights. Foster strong relationships with our intersectional communities and Allies, among others, and assist with the growth of their engagement as part of our community. Execute programs to engage our communities including workshops, events, and marketing campaigns. Manage a portfolio of community groups and share best practices to help them succeed and keep them engaged as part of our community. Implement retention strategies to ensure long-term engagement of engaged communities including workshops, events, networking opportunities, and lead the community promotions strategy to improve the feedback we receive from the community. Track and analyse community growth metrics to ensure engagement, retention and satisfaction. Solicit, organise, and contextualise feedback from the community. Data Analysis, Communication and Problem Solving: Develop custom analytical strategies using insights, optimise overall performance. Manage a portfolio of Communities using internal measurement tools and data analysis. Event Management: Lead and project manage events to support the community ecosystem. This may include our involvement at larger external events and festivals. Stakeholder Management: Be the face and voice of the community to our internal team; collate and share data-driven community feedback, and work collaboratively with cross-functional partners across initiatives, including attending off-site events/activation and facilitating growth opportunities for us; Represent us in the community, building our reputation as a great community partner. Qualifications BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience. A commercial mindset gained through 2+ years of work experience in an early stage startup or an agency – you have a very clear understanding of just how far you have to stretch every dollar. A deep love for community and deep desire to contribute to elevating all WoC. Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Willing to travel to visit partners, attend events, etc. Team player, strong people skills and ability to engage on all levels of the organisation. Proven track record of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, strong attention to detail, and managing multiple projects simultaneously. This one is critical – a kind heart. Love Data: have experience working in CRM databases, and love diving into the numbers and analysing performance. Community Management Experience: especially if you’ve been in the startup space Business development experience. Experience in video production and/or graphic design. Love of digital storytelling. Please include a tailored cover letter and resume – whilst we look for people with the right skills and experience, we also strongly look for a mission and values alignment. Please send your application to and if you have any questions, feel free to send them through We strongly encourage Women of Colour to apply. #J-18808-Ljbffr
