Tenancy and Property Officer Join to apply for the Tenancy and Property Officer role at Victorian Department of Families, Fairness & Housing . Overview The Tenancy and Property Officer is a client‑facing position that supports the delivery of the Department’s housing program and plays a vital role in supporting client‑centred services to individuals and families seeking housing assistance or residing in public housing. Tenancy and Property Officers are part of a network of community workers and organisations that share the responsibility for working with vulnerable people to promote and support their wellbeing. Based in offices across the state, the role undertakes a range of tasks relating to tenancy and property management and the provision of housing advice and assistance. At Classification 2, Tenancy and Property Officers are fully competent across the assigned housing functions and apply well‑developed skills in all areas, may serve as a local reference point for less experienced staff, and work under general supervision. Accountabilities Assess client needs and provide advice on housing options. Prepare routine cases and represent the Department at the Victorian Civil Administrative Tribunal (VCAT).
