About the Role Conduct site assurance for WHS compliance across road and infrastructure construction projects, with comprehensive reporting. Provide practical WHS guidance to project teams and support Safety Management System (SMS) development. Carry out random drug and alcohol testing; ensure full PPE compliance (all PPE supplied). Travel across highways and remote sites for inspections. Maintain a high degree of autonomy, planning own site visits, reporting, and advice. Managing diverse stakeholder expectations with care, especially in remote and logistically complex project locations. Navigating self-directed priorities in a role with short project windows but potential for extension. Coordinating WHS across multiple sites and disciplines. About You Graduate Diploma (minimum) in Work Health & Safety, Construction White Card (mandatory). 10+ years’ experience in WHS across infrastructure/road construction. Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Strong familiarity with Newcastle and the Hunter Valley (Muswellbrook, Singleton) highly regarded. Valid Class C driver’s licence (mandatory). Ancillary credentials desirable: training & assessment, auditing, environmental or incident investigation (ICAM) qualifications. Proven traffic management/control and/or electrical project WHS experience (highly regarded). Advanced IT skills for major infrastructure settings.
