Position: Social Worker Location: Abbotsford Private Hospital, West Leederville, part of the Aurora Healthcare GroupEmployment Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, Casual (Flexible, including weekends) About Us: Abbotsford Private Hospital, part of the Aurora Healthcare Group, is located in West Leederville. We specialise in dual diagnosis treatment, providing comprehensive care for individuals with both substance addiction and mental health conditions. The hospital offers both inpatient and day patient group therapy, and due to our ongoing expansion, we are seeking additional therapists to join our growing Allied Health Team. The Role: We are looking for passionate and skilled social workers to primarily facilitate group therapeutic activities for assigned patients, participate in group therapy sessions as directed by the Therapy Manager, and also provide 1:1 social work services to patients. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that delivers high-quality care to our patients. Current registration with AASW Current National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check Previous experience working in a multi-disciplinary team Skills and Experience: Proven experience in working with co‑morbid conditions and addiction‑related mental health issues Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team Excellent communication and rapport‑building skills Key Responsibilities: Deliver group therapy using a variety of therapeutic approaches Provide individual 1:1 social work service to patients, including assessment, intervention, and case management Provide peer support and supervision to team members, including nursing and mental health therapists, to facilitate optimal patient and program outcomes Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, and allied health team members to provide the highest standard of patient care, including effective discharge planning Attractive remuneration package Flexible hours and days Join a supportive and collaborative team culture that values respect, trust, commitment, and open communication How to Apply: Your application must include a cover letter that addresses your suitability for the role by outlining how you meet the key responsibilities of the position.
