The Role Join the Town of Port Hedland as Economic Development Officer and lead initiatives that enhance liveability and regional prosperity. Reporting to the Principal Economic Development , you will: Deliver projects that support new and existing businesses, attract investment, and foster sustainable growth and diversification. Build strong relationships with businesses, industry bodies, and government agencies. Monitor economic trends and prepare reports for Council and stakeholders. This is your opportunity to work in the powerhouse of Australia's economy, with the Port of Port Hedland supply chain responsible for 4% of Australia's GDP. To be successful in this position, you must have: A Bachelor's degree in commerce, economics, marketing, or related field and/or demonstrated experience in economic development projects. Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills. Excellent communication, time management, and problem‑solving abilities. Work Related Requirements Preferred applicants will be required to undergo a pre‑employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess: Bachelor's degree in commerce, economics, marketing, or related field and/or demonstrated experience in delivering economic development projects.
