EOI - Quality and Completions Manager McConnell Dowell Join McConnell Dowell as we embark on a new, high-profile water infrastructure project delivering critical assets to support one of Sydney’s key growth corridors in Western Sydney. Key Responsibilities Lead the identification, investigation, and close‑out of non-compliances, driving corrective and preventive actions to maintain the project’s quality standards. Define quality requirements for suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring all obligations are clearly documented within contract and procurement packages. Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Audit Schedule in collaboration with corporate Quality and Audit teams. Conduct internal and external quality audits, preparing clear audit reports and ensuring timely follow‑up of findings. Establish and oversee inspection and testing controls for all materials, equipment, and construction works, both on‑site and off‑site. Identify and embed appropriate hold and witness points into Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), guaranteeing structured verification throughout project delivery. Support the allocation of suitably qualified personnel to meet the inspection and testing requirements defined in the ITPs. Monitor the consistent use and effectiveness of ITPs, verification checklists, and construction execution plans (CEPs). Evaluate inspection and testing outcomes, ensuring results are accurate, compliant, and promptly submitted to the Principal’s Representative. Maintain and manage the project’s non‑conformance and improvement systems, including registers, workflows, and close‑out documentation. Oversee the CMI (Completion Management Index) submission process and ensure progressive compilation of the Construction Management Information (CMI) package. Ensure redline mark‑ups and as-built documentation are accurately prepared and progressively maintained throughout construction. Promote a proactive quality culture across the project team, increasing awareness and ownership of quality objectives and compliance requirements. Ancillary Responsibilities Implement and support project document control procedures relating to quality records and controlled documentation. Provide monthly reporting to senior management on quality performance, including NCR data, audit findings, improvement initiatives, INRs, and lessons learned. Uphold zero‑tolerance standards for unsafe practices, environmental risks, or any activity that jeopardises quality. Ensure all measuring and testing equipment is calibrated, compliant, and fit for purpose. Perform additional duties as required to support the quality function and project delivery.
