About the Role An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and technically minded Sales Manager to take ownership of a well-established NSW territory for a global leader in engraving, marking, and laser-based identification solutions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road, working autonomously, and partnering with customers across manufacturing, industrial, retail and promotional sectors. You will manage a strong existing customer base while driving growth in high-value equipment, software, service contracts, and consumables. Duties Manage and grow a diverse portfolio of customers across NSW Develop long‑term relationships with key accounts across retail, manufacturing, engineering, electrical, compliance, and promotional sectors. Conduct on‑site demonstrations, needs assessments, and technical consultations to tailor marking, engraving, and traceability solutions. Drive new business opportunities—largely fueled by high‑volume inbound leads—while nurturing recurring consumables, materials, and service contract revenue. Partner with customers in manufacturing, fabrication, switchboard building, mining, asset tagging, giftware and signage to support their equipment, software, and identification requirements. Identify growth opportunities in emerging sectors including medical / dental device marking, automotive / EV components, architecture, construction and industrial distribution. Prepare accurate forecasts, pipeline reports and account reviews, maintaining up‑to‑date records within the CRM platform Coordinate internally with service, technical and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery, installation and after‑sales support. Skills & Experience Proven success in Technical Sales, Account Management or Territory Management, ideally within industrial, manufacturing, engineering or capital equipment environments. Experience selling technical solutions such as CNC machinery, automation systems, traceability solutions, electrical / industrial equipment, or engineered products. Strong ability to understand technical requirements, workshop processes, compliance obligations, and production challenges. Excellent relationship‑building capability, with confidence engaging both frontline operators and senior decision makers. Demonstrated ability to manage long sales cycles and equipment‑based solutions, as well as ongoing consumables or service revenue streams. Commercially astute, self‑motivated and organised, with the ability to prioritise across a territory‑based role. Strong presentation skills and the ability to conduct hands‑on demonstrations of equipment and software. CRM proficiency (Salesforce or similar) and solid reporting skills. Experience across engineering, fabrication, electrical wholesalers, industrial distribution, automation / robots, or machinery‑based sales will be highly regarded.
