A walk with Wendy and her furry friend- Croydon North If you would like to connect with older people who are socially isolated, we would love to hear from you This volunteer role offers: An opportunity to gain experience in the aged care sector An opportunity to make a positive impact in your community and in the life of someone else Supervision and opportunities for learning and development Wendy used to enjoy participating in charity walking events and spent much of her time discovering and hiking new tracks. In recent years, Wendy has found that her eyesight is impacting her ability and confidence to walk. She would love to be connected with someone who can accompany her and her furry friend on walks and support her to reconnect with the great outdoors. If you have an interest in supporting people 65+ to reconnect with their interests and community please apply We offer opportunities in skill and knowledge development, as well as ongoing support and mentoring. Good communications skills and the ability to work independently are a must. Having a drivers licence/access to own vehicle is highly desired but not essential.
