Senior SQL Developer – Data & Analytics A leading financial services client, located on the fringe of Sydney, is seeking a Senior SQL Developer to join their Data & Analytics team. You will partner with business and technology teams to turn complex financial data into meaningful insights and develop scalable reporting and analytics solutions that support decision‑making across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain and optimise SQL Server databases and SSAS multidimensional or tabular models for financial reporting and analytics Design and deliver Power BI dashboards and reports that clearly present financial and operational performance Turn business requirements into efficient data models using DAX, MDX and SQL Work closely with data engineers, finance stakeholders and risk teams to integrate multiple data sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency and performance Monitor and tune SSAS models, including partitioning, aggregations and security Document solutions, maintain data standards and support users in self‑service BI adoption Build solutions that support wider teams, with awareness of how changes impact upstream and downstream systems and processes What you will bring Strong experience with SQL Server, SSAS and Power BI Advanced DAX and MDX for building calculations and KPIs Ability to design models that support reporting and analytics across multiple business areas Strong communication skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions Analytical mindset and strong attention to detail Nice to Have Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance or related field Experience in banking, insurance or wealth management analytics Understanding of governance, data quality and regulatory reporting environments Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Analyst #J-18808-Ljbffr
