Employment details Employment Type : Permanent Full TimePosition Classification : Dietitian Level 4Remuneration : $2,424.83 - $2,483.61 per weekHours Per Week : 38Requisition ID : REQ Where you'll be working Mona Vale Hospital, Brookvale Community Health Centre and Adolescent and Young Adult Hospice What you'll be doing The Head of Department Nutrition and Dietetics is a key member of the Mona Vale Hospital Allied Health Clinical Leadership and Management Team. This position provides leadership to ensure the provision of a high standard of clinical nutrition service at Mona Vale Hospital, Brookvale Community Health Centre and Adolescent and Young Adult Hospice. This includes the planning, monitoring and evaluation of services, clinical supervision and support of staff, development and implementation of innovative service models and initiatives. The position is a clinical specialist in one or more key clinical areas for Mona Vale Hospital and is responsible for ensuring that all consumers requiring clinical nutrition intervention are provided with the best possible quality of assessment and care based on established professional standards and best practice. People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply. Requirements Bachelor or post graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics and eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia. Minimum experience as level 2 Dietitian. Extensive experience in tailoring verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills for internal and external service providers. Demonstrated proficient computer literacy and ability to confidently use health information systems. Demonstrated experience in, leading, initiating, mentoring, completing and presenting quality improvement activities, research and service evaluation process. Extensive experience in clinical teaching and supervision for students and allied health staff. Extended skills and specialised knowledge in the provision of current clinical dietetic practice. Ability to take responsibility for the delivery of evidence-based practice for consumers, carers and families.
