Cross River Rail Delivery Authority (CRRDA)…Your chance to work with the best The Cross River Rail Delivery Authority is building a new 10.2km rail line that includes 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD; with four new underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street and Roma Street. Once complete, it will provide trains with a much-needed alternative rail path through the core of the current SEQ Rail network, unlocking a bottleneck and allowing more trains to run more often across the whole of South East Queensland. The Cross River Rail Delivery Authority is also delivering multiple supporting projects and activities in conjunction with Department of Transport and Main Road. These include accessibility rebuilds for eight surface stations, construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast; upgrades for stabling yards; track works and surface rail enhancements; and the introduction of a new ETCS digital signalling system. About the Role We are entering an exciting and busy time in the project as we move through the construction phase and into the integration of the project with the broader SEQ network. As Legal Counsel, Delivery, you will provide high-quality legal advice on project delivery, review and negotiate contracts, and manage legal risks. You’ll work closely with commercial and project delivery teams, contribute to dispute resolution, and support legal briefings for senior stakeholders. This opportunity is offered as a fixed term contract until August 2028. Key Responsibilities Deliver timely, pragmatic legal advice on project delivery and contracts Collaborate to identify and mitigate legal risks Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and legal documents Support contract management, dispute resolution, and issue resolution Prepare legal briefings for executive audiences Oversee external legal counsel and contribute to internal legal capability About You To be successful in this role you will need the following: Approximately 3–7 years PQE, ideally with construction law or government project delivery experience Experience managing legal risk in complex contractual frameworks Familiarity with alliance or collaborative contracting models Strong claims management and dispute resolution skills Ability to manage competing priorities independently Mandatory: Admitted or eligible for admission as a legal practitioner in Queensland Why work with CRRDA?
