We’re seeking a confident, experienced and strategic Human Resources Manager who recognises that culture is key whilst being able to translate strategy into action and foster a positive, high-performing culture where people feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow. As the Human Resources Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping our people strategy and driving continuous improvement across all aspects of the employee experience with the ultimate goal of employee empowerment, engagement and success A little taste of your day-to-day Creating programs to foster a positive work environment for every single employee Responsible for all recruitment within the hotel Welcoming and onboarding new members of staff Developing creative ways to inspire and motivate the team to provide exceptional guest experiences Managing employee records and ensuring compliance with relevant employee laws, policies and procedures Provide advice and direction on IR/ER related matters Partner with General Manager and line management to provide HR support and educate and train on HR disciplines to foster productivity and enhance performance Maintain the Human Resources department budget and control expenses Monitor staffing to manage costs Work with department managers to develop initiatives to reach service standards and drive continuous improvement in the guest experience Research and investigate all workplace issues to discover facts, identify potential risks to the hotel or company, and facilitate resolution through your employee relations programs Collect and maintain data from exit interviews, turnover statistics, absenteeism reports to identify trends, training needs, and supervisory issues Other ad-hoc duties – unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done What we need from you High school diploma, secondary education or equivalent 3 years’ related experience in Human Resources, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Some college courses in Human Resources, Employment Law or related field preferred.
