YOUR ROLE As the Senior Advisor, Reportable Conduct, you will play a key role in supporting MACS schools and leadership teams to respond to and manage reportable conduct matters. Sitting within the Reportable Conduct Team (RCT), this role focuses on ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and safeguarding the wellbeing of children and young people through ethical, child-centred practice. You’ll oversee case management from intake through to resolution, ensuring all investigations meet policy and legislative standards while maintaining procedural fairness and confidentiality. This role requires resilience, strong judgment, and an ability to navigate sensitive and complex content while fostering a culture of safeguarding and accountability. WHAT YOU WILL DO Manage reportable conduct matters from intake to resolution, ensuring compliance with Ministerial Order 1359 and CCYP guidelines. Provide expert advice on case handling, investigations, due process, and evidentiary assessment. Support and monitor investigations, working closely with legal, HR, and school-based staff. Liaise with families, schools, investigators, and regulatory bodies to ensure child-centred, fair, and timely case progression. Convene case briefings and ensure appropriate documentation and communication is maintained throughout. Prepare and review documentation and finalise investigation reports in alignment with legislative requirements. Contribute to safeguarding initiatives, training, and internal capability development. Participate in regular clinical supervision (provided within work hours) to maintain wellbeing and professional standards. ABOUT YOU Deep understanding of the Reportable Conduct Scheme, Child Safe Standards, and relevant legislation. Experience managing complex investigations, including knowledge of due process, evidence assessment, and procedural fairness. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive matters and build trust across diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated capacity to make sound judgments in high‑pressure situations and manage multiple priorities with integrity. Commitment to safeguarding, continuous improvement, and child‑centred practice. Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and vulnerable groups. Tertiary qualifications in law, education, investigations, or regulatory services are desirable.
