Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Water Resources Engineer to join our Dynamic Earth Solutions group in Brisbane. Our Dynamic Earth Solutions (DES) group forms an integrated core that provides clients with outstanding project execution through our geotechnical, hydrotechnical, and civil site development expertise. From concept to operation, we’re committed to providing traditional services alongside proprietary technologies and innovative thinking to deliver custom, cost-effective solutions. From studies, analysis, and design to construction supervision and monitoring, our DES group specialises in site planning, spatial information and digital terrain modelling, surface and subsurface investigations, rock mechanics, underground structures, geotechnical laboratory services, flood forecasting and water resource management. As the successful candidate you will have experience in a variety of water resource engineering projects including, but not limited to; Mining, infrastructure and ideally renewable energy sectors Undertaking or supervising hydrological assessments Carrying out flood impact assessments Water balance modelling Stormwater design and assessment for infrastructure Mine water management You will bring to the role; A degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering, more than 12 years’ experience, plus RPEQ and CPEng. Applicants with RPEV will be well regarded Extensive experience in TUFLOW and RORB modelling, with experience in related software, such as MIKEFLOOD, FLIKE, HEC-RAS, URBS and XP-RAFTS highly desirable The following skills will be desirable:Waterway design Dam safety and spillway assessments Water Sensitive Urban Design experience such as sediment basins and wetlands Stormwater quality assessments Sediment transport analysis Groundwater modelling / hydrogeology Geomorphology Water supply Effluent treatment Flood warning systems Why join us?
