The Opportunity: Your Core Responsibilities As our dedicated Accounts Manager, you will be the financial backbone of our business. This is a hands‑on role requiring accuracy, discretion, and a proactive approach. Financial Management: Oversee the entire financial cycle, including end‑to‑end processing of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Reconciliation & Reporting: Execute timely bank reconciliations, prepare monthly profit & loss (P&L) statements, balance sheets, and key financial reports for management review. Compliance & Payroll: Manage payroll processing, ensuring superannuation compliance, and handling BAS preparation and lodgement. System Ownership: Maintain and optimize the integrity of our financial software system, particularly MYOB . Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiencies in accounting processes to improve speed and accuracy. Supplier & Client Relations: Manage communications regarding outstanding accounts, ensuring strong professional relationships are maintained. What You Will Bring We are looking for an experienced individual who is ready to step up and own this function. Proven Experience: A minimum of 8 years' experience in a similar Bookkeeper or Accounts Manager capacity, ideally within the retail, construction, or trades sector (flooring experience is highly regarded). Technical Mastery: High proficiency with accounting software such as MYOB AccountRight (essential), along with advanced Excel skills. Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Finance (or equivalent practical experience). Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and a strong commitment to meeting strict deadlines. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear financial reporting and debtor/creditor communication. Local Knowledge: Familiarity with Australian tax laws and payroll compliance.
