About The Role Seeking an experienced and dedicated Endoscopy Technician to join our expanding Endoscopy/Day Surgery department at the Mater Hospital in North Sydney. The unit will relocate to a brand-new state-of-the-art endoscopy suite in early 2026. This role will be available on a casual basis, potentially progressing to a permanent role when the new suite opens. Responsibilities include endoscope processing, decontamination, sterilisation, maintenance and storage. Work with competent technicians, nurses, and doctors to support the unit as required. About You Certificate in GENCA Fundamentals of Endoscope Reprocessing (highly desirable). Knowledge of flexible endoscopes, reprocessors and accessories. Thorough understanding of GENCA, GESA, HICMR and infection control policies and procedures in Endoscopy. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Can stand for long hours and carry heavy boxes. Can multitask, be flexible with allocations and adapt to change.
