THIS POSITION COMES WITH 10 WEEKS PAID ANNUAL LEAVE. This position has no regular additional attendance during school vacation periods. This vacancy is to replace an employee on parental absence and is for a period of seven years or until the employee absent on leave returns to duty at the school. ACCOUNTS PAYABLE | RECEPTION - ROLE DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES The Accounts Payable (3 days) | Reception (2 Days) officer will work as a member of the College Administration team at Werribee Secondary College, performing all duties associated with accounts payable as well as undertaking reception duties along with a range of tasks that assist with the smooth and efficient delivery of daily administration operations within the college. ACCOUNTS PAYABLE Coordinate and perform all tasks related to accounts payable through Department finance package CASES21, Compass and various banking platforms. Assist with maintaining the school’s financial records including storage and archiving. Assist with preparation of financial documentation and data for budget preparation. Provide staff with financial reports from CASES21. Provide assistance to staff with Compass finance when required. Reconciliation and management of School Purchasing Cards. Maintain financial data entry within Compass and CASES21 Finance including entering Purchase Orders from Compass, creditor details, sundry debtors and purchase card register. Maintain Scholarship financial documentation and process payments. First Aid – Provide first aid assistance RECEPTION Providing a welcoming and professional first point of contact for students, families, visitors and staff. Answer and direct incoming call, emails, and enquiries efficiently. Maintain reception area, office supplies, and shared spaces. First Aid – Provide first aid assistance. GENERAL Actively seek and participate in professional development (Subject to School P&D guidelines) Participate in the Performance and Development process. Ensure all processes are carried out in timely and efficient manner, maintaining confidentiality and workplace safety. Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy working environment by complying with DET, school and OH&S policy and procedures.
