The Opportunity We invite you to step into the role of the Infrastructure Team Lead and become a key player in our ICT & Business Improvement team reporting to the Head of ICT. This is a full-time position with the opportunity to work remotely and/or at our Sydney Home Office. What You’ll Do As the Infrastructure Team Lead, you’ll have responsibility to enhance and maintain the operational posture of the Information Technology infrastructure at Opal HealthCare. This role is crucial for ensuring healthy operations of the digital assets, systems & platforms across our environment. Your Responsibilities Lead and deliver a broad range of infrastructure and cloud technologies, both current and future. Act as a team leader to guide technology decisions and mentor team members. Support and enhance central infrastructure, networks, cloud, and systems. Oversee routine tasks and reporting to the Head of ICT. Manage upgrades of firmware, software, and hardware across all systems. Document designs, operations, and troubleshooting procedures. Handle day-to-day operations of servers, networks, and cloud platforms. Represent the ICT Infrastructure Team as a technical consultant for projects and BAU requests. Stay current with infrastructure trends and emerging technologies. Collaborate with Level 1 and Level 2 service desks to resolve issues and provide technical support. Ensure compliance with ICT policies, processes, and procedures. Plan and perform audits, patching, and preventive maintenance. Act as senior escalation point for technical matters. Maintain optimal performance, security, and integrity of systems and networks. Identify gaps and provide documented recommendations for improvement. About You Degree in IT or related field. 3+ years’ experience as a Senior Systems Engineer (Level 3). Strong networking skills (routing protocols, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN troubleshooting). Proficient in M365, Intune, Azure, and on-prem Microsoft systems. Experience with Citrix, firewalls, certificates, and VMware vSphere. Knowledge of backup, replication, and DR technologies (Veeam preferred). Ability to manage projects, prioritize issues, and elevate risks proactively. Flexible to work outside business hours when required. Comfortable from design through to deployment in a project-driven environment. Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
