This will be the case for 7 calendar days from : 04 / 11 / 2025 to 10 / 11 / 2025 following this the vacancy will be open externally. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. We are looking for a dedicated Business Support Officer to assist Service Managers and Team Leaders. Key responsibilities include gathering and analysing data, generating reports, liaising with corporate services, attending meetings, and delivering staff training. You'll also help with risk management, policy reviews, and contribute to performance monitoring. Regular travel between Trust sites required. Strong organisational and communication skills essential. Main duties of the job The post holder will establish and maintain a business support infrastructure necessary to assist the Service Manager, Operational and Clinical Leads in meeting the Trusts objectives and targets. This will include the development of systems and processes to monitor performance against the Trust's Key Performance Indicators. To analyse reports and extract data from all report formats for all Key Performance Indicators (Quantity & Quality) and feed this back to Service Manager, Operational and Clinical Lead in a format that can be used within Services / Teams for planning and supervision purposes. Required to have the authority / ability to approach individual clinicians and request action. To elevate performance / compliance issues as necessary via the Team Leaders with a requirement to further elevate if deemed necessary via Service Manager. To work with Corporate Services to identify areas of under-recording of clinical activity and work within the Services / Teams to improve recording and data quality. Job responsibilities Request and manage activity reports for Service Manager and Team Leaders (e.g., timeliness, data quality, waiting times, KPIs). Support BSO network framework for consistent service delivery across teams. Liaise with Corporate / Support Services to obtain performance data (activity, workforce, finance). Provide monthly updates to Service Manager and Team Leaders. Attend meetings, take minutes, distribute them, and arrange meetings as directed. Participate in regular team supervision and business meetings. Be accessible during core working hours. Travel across Trust sites within Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent. Proficient in Microsoft Office and office equipment. Autonomy in providing business support to managers and leads in data analysis for KPIs. Ensure systems are in place for monitoring and reporting performance. Monitor, extract, and analyse sensitive data from various sources. Train staff on the Patient Information System and report training needs. Regularly review Risk Register. Gather CQC evidence as directed. Suggest improvements to local policies and protocols. Perform other tasks as needed within the roles banding. Sit for long periods at a desk, in meetings, or while driving. Maintain focus while working on complex reports with frequent interruptions. Person Specification Qualifications NVQ Level 3 Business Administration (or equivalent level of experience) OCR / RSA III or equivalent experience BTEC Business Admin (or equivalent) Experience Previous experience of setting up office / administrative systems Experience of analytical processes Ability to plan, schedule and organise day to day work Experience in the NHS Knowledge / Experience of Patient Clinical System Skills Good written and verbal communication skills.
