Executive Assistant and Business Support Officer – Water & Waste Location:Tamworth, NSW THE OPPORTUNITY Utilise your outstanding organisational skills Support the Directorate to delivery operational and strategic projects for the community Work at Director level in a hands‑on, varied and dynamic role Lead and coordinate a team of administration staff COULD THIS BE YOU? You’ll be the person they rely on to keep everything flowing. The Executive Assistant is responsible for: Lead and coordinate business support staff for Water & Waste & Laboratory; Provide a comprehensive range of administrative services to the whole Water & Waste Directorate; Provide executive level support to the Director, Water & Waste providing supervision of the Business Support Team, including mentoring and motivating to achieve objectives Applying principles of privacy, discretion, security and confidentiality. Investigating and presenting research information and drafting reports and powerpoint presentations Undertake project works as required. Coordinating the administrative needs of the management team within the Water & Waste Directorate. The Business Support Officer is responsible for: Working efficiently in business administration environment, both autonomously & as part of a team Use a range of Microsoft Office programs to undertake varied administrative tasks Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders Developing work priorities including the ability to identify, analyse and resolve problems TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED Significant experience in a similar role supporting a senior executive Certificate IV in Business Administration or similar (or equivalent relevant experience in similar position) Drivers Licence High level organisational and analytical skills Experience in research and overseeing admin related projects Proven people management skills Applicants who have completed Certificate IV in Leadership & Management will be highly regarded. Salary range: Executive Assistant - Grade 13 - $1,526.60 - $1,651.90 per week Business Support Officer - Grade 8 - $1,190.10 - $1,287.90 per week Weekly wage plus 12% superannuation for a 35 hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation. Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
