Harry’s House exists to provide the environment where children and young people can be safe to explore their capabilities, and to give families and carers the opportunity to strengthen and revitalise. We offer respite in a personalised, non traditional way. Our staff are qualified support practitioners who are passionate about creating and delivering individualised programs that meet the needs, goals, and interests of each Participant. We provide a holiday experience in a home-away-from-home attitude and atmosphere, on a 1:1 ratio. We currently have three locations and shifts will be across all of them. Martin 6110, Roleystone 6111 and Bedfordale 6112. To help us deliver on our belief, we are searching for dedicated team members who are happy to work day and night shifts. This is a casual position as we can’t guarantee fixed shifts as they are dependent on our Participants’ needs, but we do roster monthly in a timely manner. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one care to children and young people that make up our Participants; Completion of medical and daily activity documentation; Performing high care assistance – suctioning, PEG feeding, tracheostomy care; Initiating, facilitating, and documenting fun outings and activities for Participants; Participant collection and drop off – sometimes from school or home; Using hoists and other assistive equipment; Can include weekend shifts; Can include awake overnight shifts. Ideal Candidate Previous experience working with children; Tracheostomy training; Experience with challenging behaviours; First Aid and CPR Training; NDIS Worker Screening; Right to work in Australia.
