About the Role An amazing career opportunity exists for a talented and innovative Demi Chef to join our team If you enjoy variety in your days and nights and are passionate about food trends as well as delivering quality cuisine with flair - then this is a role for you You will be required to work across a variety of restaurants with menu styles which may include A la carte, buffet, international street food, catering, and baking. Responsibilities Work effectively within a team environment to provide excellent internal service and to promote a positive working environment Apply and monitor food safety procedures to ensure all menu items are prepared and served in line with food safety standards Report any issues that may affect kitchen operations immediately to the Chef de Partie Ensure portion control and food quality while maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic work area Be aware of meal times and the importance of speed, time, efficiency, and presentation of all meals Ensure all guest special requests, including dietary needs, are acknowledged Monitor and motivate team members to achieve a high standard of service Conduct training and assess competency of team member’s to assist in team development & mentoring Liaise with the Events Manager as & when required Knowledge of market trends relating to food and menus Requirements Certificate III Commercial Cookery or relevant years of experience Demonstrated experience working as a Demi Chef Effective leadership & communication skills Problem-solving, time management skills, delegation & guidance Comprehensive understanding of food hygiene and Food Safety program Knowledge of customer dietary requirements Accredited Food Safety Supervisor an advantage Industry experience in high volume kitchen operations an advantage Able to work at any Village Roadshow Theme Park property as required What We Offer Unlimited free entry to our amazing theme parks Earn complimentary passes for family and friends Enjoy discounts on food & beverage, retail, and animal experiences Exclusive and unique team member events and awards Reward and Recognition incentives and prizes On-site Wellbeing Team and access to our EAP with 24/7 support Opportunity for professional development & internal training Village Roadshow is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates. #J-18808-Ljbffr
