Head of Infrastructure

We are seeking a technology leader, who isn't afraid to be hands on, to drive the transformation of a low-mid maturity IT environment into a secure, scalable, and modern operation. Reporting to the CIO, the Head of Engineering will set technical direction, own architecture, and oversee the delivery of critical infrastructure, cloud services, and cybersecurity initiatives. This role combines strategic vision with operational execution, introducing IT governance, lifecycle planning, and performance metrics while mentoring a talented engineering team. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team. Define and optimise enterprise architecture across hybrid cloud and on-premises systems. Drive cybersecurity, governance, and operational excellence. Manage vendor relationships and multi-million-dollar budgets. Deliver infrastructure, cloud, and network transformation projects. Manage budgets, vendors, and key projects including network refreshes, cloud adoption, and system rationalisation. Key Technical Skills / Requirements Strong expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, and hybrid cloud environments. Experience with Windows Server, networking, and infrastructure management. Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, identity management, and governance. Ability to integrate and optimise complex technical environments. Outcome-driven, hands-on, and ambitious, with a proven track record in leading engineering teams and delivering technology transformations. You thrive in resource-constrained environments and are motivated to create a modern, high-performing IT landscape.
