About the Role An opportunity exists to join as our Technical Officer. This role is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Technical Department. Key responsibilities Coordinate the production of technical documentation (Safety Cage Certificates, Recognition Documents, Application Forms etc) Develop technical resources for Competitors and Officials Manage technical enquiries submitted by email or the technical hotline. Assist with the development of technical regulations Support the Motorsport Australia safety cage and logbook application process as required. Review and continuously develop the Motorsport Australia technical processes Provide event technical support where required. About You Engineering or automotive/motorsport technical background and experience Relevant qualification (i.e. Degree in Engineering, TAFE Certificate Motor Sport Technology, Trade Certificate or Mechanical/Automotive Engineering) Demonstrated ability in providing clear written responses to customers on technical matters Proven ability delivering outstanding customer service and dealing with difficult customers Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal Excellent organisation, planning skills and administration skills Previous experience operating a CRM or database system highly desirable Sound skills in the use of Microsoft Office programs and general IT systems A strong commitment to working as part of a team, whilst maintaining a focus on the primary role Flexibility to work after hours and on weekends as required We will offer you a supportive learning environment and a great team culture.
