Great opportunity to join a growing business Inclusive working culture and opportunity to develop skills On-site parking The Company The Role Reporting to the Plant Operations Manager, the Plant Purchasing Officer will take ownership of on-site purchasing activities, ensuring all materials required for final assembly are sourced on time and at the right cost. This includes items such as casings, packaging, plastics, accessories, and other components from a diverse supplier base across both local and international markets. You will manage the end-to-end purchasing workflow—raising purchase orders, maintaining accurate lead times, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring supplier delivery performance meets production requirements. A key part of this role will involve negotiating pricing, managing MOQs, and maintaining strong communication with suppliers to ensure continuity of supply in line with production schedules. The environment is structured, inclusive, and process-driven, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys working within established frameworks while still being proactive and commercially minded. You will collaborate closely with internal teams across production, planning, and quality, and play a vital role in supporting the facility’s day-to-day operations during an important period of growth. Key Skills Previous purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment Exposure to industrial or electronics manufacturing is highly advantageous Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems Excellent organisational and communication skills Ability to negotiate pricing, lead times, and MOQs confidently Comfortable managing multiple suppliers across local and international markets Strong attention to detail and ability to work within structured processes Dependable, practical, and team-oriented with a collaborative mindset By engaging Miller Leith for recruitment services and/or career support, you are agreeing to our Privacy Policy and Candidate Consent Form.
