Risk, Quality and Governance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Risk, Quality and Governance Manager to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing organisational risk, driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with NATA accreditation and broader governance requirements. You will play a critical part in safeguarding the organisation through effective governance, risk management and quality frameworks, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality services across all operational areas. This role will suit a proactive professional who enjoys collaboration, problem-solving and leading a culture of excellence in quality and safety. Your key responsibilities will include: Governance Oversee corporate governance and regulatory frameworks to ensure compliance with State and National legislative requirements. Manage company policies, procedures and record systems to maintain ethical and regulatory alignment. Support managers and supervisors to understand and implement governance responsibilities. Lead a coordinated approach to risk assessment and mitigation across the organisation. Maintain and review the organisational risk register and business continuity plans. Oversee the incident management system (Riskman) and Risk Register and support staff in incident reporting, investigation and resolution. Provide regular reports and insights to the Executive Team on emerging risks and mitigation strategies. Quality Manage and monitor quality management systems to ensure compliance with NATA and NPAAC standards. Collaborate with teams to address and prevent quality issues through corrective actions and process improvement. Lead internal audit programs and coordinate NATA accreditation activities. Support employees and leaders with accreditation, compliance and quality improvement initiatives. Promote a culture of safety, service excellence and continuous improvement. To be successful you will have: Minimum 3-5 years experience overseeing risk, compliance, quality and governance Demonstrated ability to interpret legislation, standards and regulatory requirements across a large and complex organisation Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to convey complex information clearly Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with senior stakeholders High-level analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to assess and prioritise risks effectively Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment Proven leadership and relationship‑building skills at all levels of an organisation High-level computer literacy and experience managing data and document control systems Demonstrated commitment to service excellence and alignment with our organisational values Desirable (but not essential) Experience working within NATA‑accredited environments or with NPAAC guidelines Tertiary qualifications in Risk Management, Quality, Governance, Health Administration, Business or a related field Experience with incident management systems (e.g Riskman) and quality management software Knowledge of the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care standards About Us Clinpath Pathology is the leading private pathology service provider in South Australia, focusing on service excellence, reliability and excellent patient service.
