Nursing Unit Manager – Level 2 – Surgical Admission Centre Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) Position Summary Full‑time permanent role (38 hours per week) reporting to the Director of Nursing, located at Wyong Hospital. The successful candidate will lead the Surgical Admission Centre unit, ensuring high quality patient care, effective nursing staff management, and continuous improvement of processes. Key Responsibilities Act as a clinical leader and manager within the unit. Co‑ordinate patient care, ward management and nursing/midwifery workforce. Promote a culture of inquiry and quality improvement. Communicate effectively with patients, families and the health‑team to support a safe environment. Support staff development, performance management and staff engagement. Ensure compliance with policy, procedure and regulatory requirements. Qualifications & Experience Current registration with the AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1). Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Recent relevant experience in a surgical or acute care specialty. Demonstrated leadership and workforce management experience. Commitment to teamwork in a multidisciplinary environment.
