Senior Manager, Strategic Insights , is responsible for partnering with the Insurance business (Health, Car, Home, and Travel Insurance) in relation to the provision and data and insights initiatives. Data analytics projects may involve strategic customer segmentation, customer retention analytics, pricing analytics, marketing and digital analytics, and cohort analysis.You will also be overseeing the delivery of work produced by insights managers and data scientists working within the broader Data & Analytics division in relation to Insurance business initiatives. This role is a key role within the Research and Insights Chapter that will help share knowledge and develop our people.What you’ll bring to the role:4+ years of management experience in relevant industries, consulting or analyticalDegree-level qualifications, with preference for degrees in economics, applied statistics or a related analytical fieldExperience in segmentation, customer cohorts and customer retention analytics is essentialPrevious experience in turning raw data into actionable, value-adding insights and recommendations, with a proven track record of successStrong commercial acumen and experience in leading projects with external vendors and partnersExtensive experience in extracting and manipulating large volume data with SQL, with direct experience with the Teradata platform preferredPrior experience in using visualisation tools such as Tableau desiredProven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to overlay commercial acumen to developed insights and recommendationsCommitment, professionalism, respect and a ‘can-do’ attitude in any situationBelief in the value of coaching your direct reports and of investing in building an effective and attractive team cultureProven ability to communicate insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, both in verbal and written formatsStrong capability of managing and prioritising several competing tasks for different stakeholdersWhy Qantas?You’ll join a team where creativity and passion are encouraged.
