About the role: The Product Manager at Southern Crossings will shape a compelling Product vision that aligns with the company’s broader strategic goals. More than just a functional lead, this role requires a strong strategic mindset and a creative approach to Product development, positioning, and delivery. Leading the Product team, the Product Manager will be responsible for driving innovation across the product portfolio, identifying opportunities to differentiate Southern Crossings in the market, and curating unique travel experiences that reflect the brand’s premium positioning. This role involves building and nurturing strong supplier partnerships to secure competitive rates, exclusive offers, and bespoke product arrangements. It also includes overseeing the accuracy and integrity of product information through effective database management and the integration of technology solutions. The Product Manager will champion internal knowledge-sharing, coordinate team training, and lead familiarisation initiatives to ensure the team is fully immersed in the Product offering. With a balance of strategic vision, commercial acumen, and creativity, the Product Manager will ensure that Southern Crossings’ product offerings support the brand's positioning - always remaining fresh, innovative and inline with discerning traveller trends to consistently exceed expectations and inspire both the team and clients alike. About you: We are currently seeking a highly driven, creative professional with at least 5+ years’ experience in the luxury Australia Tourism industry to join our team as an experienced full-time Product Manager. Key responsibilities: Lead the strategic direction, identify trends, anticipate market shifts, champion innovation and manage day-to-day execution of the product function at Southern Crossings. Creatively and commercially lead the continued evolution of the company’s product offering. Lead supplier contract administration to ensure access to the most competitive market rates and value-added inclusions at all times. In partnership with the General Manager, negotiate and secure the best possible nett rates, amenities, terms and conditions and overrides with Australian product suppliers. Provide oversight and leadership to the Product team to ensure that pricing and product content is accurately and promptly uploaded into Tourwriter, including contract amendments and special conditions. Ensure timely communication of these updates to the wider Southern Crossings Australia team. Develop innovative and compelling suggested itineraries and promotional offers for travel trade partners, including tour operators, travel agencies, and media, ensuring alignment with brand positioning and commercial goals. Provide guidance and support to the Travel Design team, alongside the Product Assistant, by responding to product-related queries and offering timely sales support to assist with itinerary creation and supplier recommendations. Organise and lead supplier training sessions for internal teams to ensure product knowledge remains current and comprehensive across the business. Build and maintain preferred relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration that enhances the quality, creativity, and profitability of the Southern Crossings product offering. Drive the research, development, design and negotiation of new and innovative product opportunities, including exclusive experiences, to differentiate Southern Crossings in the luxury travel market and meet evolving client expectations. Assist with the coordination and delivery of trade famils to support business development objectives, ensuring itineraries showcase the best of the Southern Crossings portfolio. Manage the Travel Design team’s internal familiarisation program, including coordination, supplier engagement, and post-famil reporting. Ensure all records are maintained and updated in the CRM. Unrestricted Australian work rights are essential.
