Operational Services Officer (Patient Handler) Townsville Hospital and Health Service – Townsville QLD The Support Services Department is responsible for the safe delivery of quality, evidence based, best practice Operational Services (cleaning, patient porterage/support, linen and environmental services) service delivery across the Townsville University Hospital and designated facilities within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (HHS). Salary range: $100.78 to $127.77 p.h. (L18 - L27) 4 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available About your opportunity: Maintain clinical and non-clinical areas of the hospital in accordance to the Queensland Health Cleaning Standards 2016 through professional cleaning practices and compliance to Infection Control Policy. Provide effective and efficient patient handling/transportation as required by medical staff ensuring the safety of the patients by complying with the Queensland Health No Lift Policy & Work Health & Safety guidelines. Ensure that the confidentiality and privacy of patient and facility information is respected at all times in line with the Code of Conduct. Be willing and able to accept responsibility and to work harmoniously and within a multidisciplinary team. Be willing and able to work various shifts 7 days a week . Roster will include night shifts. Monitor work areas for facility defects and report same to management to minimise time interval to repair/replacement. Attend / update training and follow procedures for any specialised patient equipment that is used / introduced to the facility. Complete ad-hoc tasks as requested by Support Services Management team. Role Requirements: This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis. Probation period may apply.
