Catering Operations Manager

We’re looking for an accomplished Catering Operations Manager to oversee high-volume food production and service standards across multiple modern sites in Canberra. You’ll lead a passionate team, shape service delivery, and bring five-star standards to an environment where quality, consistency, and teamwork matter. This is a Monday-to-Friday leadership role that offers real work-life balance. Most days finish by 6 pm, giving you your evenings back while still running a dynamic, high-performing operation. What You’ll Do Lead catering operations across multiple venues and teams. Inspire, mentor, and develop chefs, cooks, and catering staff. Oversee HACCP, food safety, and compliance systems. Manage budgets, supplier relationships, and cost controls. Innovate in menu design, service delivery, and presentation. Maintain excellence in quality, efficiency, and guest satisfaction. Partner with senior leadership to deliver outstanding dining experiences. About You You’re a hands‑on, strategic hospitality professional who loves leading teams and creating exceptional dining experiences. You combine creativity, commercial sense, and operational control. You’ll bring Qualification in Commercial Cookery or Catering Management (Cert III+). Experience as an Executive Chef, F&B Manager, or multi-site Operations Manager. Strong leadership and mentoring background. Sound knowledge of HACCP, WHS, and large-scale food production. Budget management, supplier negotiation, and operational reporting skills.
