PAINTER (PAINTING TRADES WORKER) required for a well-established Australian company PABLA PAINTING PTY LTD located in BONNIE BROOK VIC 3335 . Prospective applicants must have prior experience of working commercially as a Painter. Duties include: Apply paint and varnishes using various tools and techniques. Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning and sanding. Secure the painting area from damage with drop sheets, plastic sheets, and masking tape. Apply paint and varnishes to decorate by using different brushes, rollers and help in spraying paint. Apply all kinds of paints: acrylic, oil-based, weather shield paint, water based, and glossy paints. Apply final coat of paint as required. Secure the painting area by laying drop sheets, plastic sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering and applying masking tape around the windows and glass. Secure all openings and spaces between doors to avoid dust coming and going out. Preparing the site for painting by cleaning, sanding, and removing the old paint and wallpaper where required. In return for your commitment and skills, you will receive a competitive salary package of 77 K plus Superannuation and ongoing training with the opportunity to develop your career. Applicants with formal qualifications (AQF Certificate III in painting and decorating) with at least 2 years of practical experience will be prioritised. Position is available full time, 38 hours/week but applicants must be available for 7 days a week and willing to work odd hours (Weekend & early morning/late night shifts). Another mandatory requirement is a driving licence & a vehicle. Applicants must be willing to travel across Victoria to perform work in urban and regional locations.
