St George Hospital - Registered Nurse - Day Medical and Infusion Centre - Permanent Part Time / Full Time Position details for St George Hospital. The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality nursing care to patients/clients of the St George Hospital in accordance with SESLHD and hospital policies, procedures and standards. Responsibilities Coordinate and deliver high quality nursing care to patients/clients in the Day Medical and Infusion Centre. Act as an appropriate and effective role model and promote culture and practices reflecting NSW Health CORE values (Collaboration, Openness, Respect, Empowerment). Ensure safety and compliance with health and safety policies, report hazards/risks, and follow reasonable instructions and procedures. Opportunity to obtain Clinical Nurse Specialist status where relevant. Selection Criteria / Qualifications Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia. Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to identify key messages and concerns when communicating with others. Ability to proactively engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery and guide others in delivering service excellence. Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries in complex situations. Basic computer skills and ability to use health information systems. Knowledge of risk management, safety and quality principles and the nurse’s role in applying these principles. Recent post-registration experience in an acute care setting.
