Automotive Mechanic LV / HV / Plant - Melbourne Automotive Mechanic LV / HV / Plant (GSE Mechanic). TCR has a brand-new, exciting opportunity available in our Sydney Workshop : Automotive Mechanic. Bring your technical skills and experience as a tradesman to conduct repairs and preventive maintenance of ground support equipment. Responsibilities Utilise your technical skills and experience as a tradesman to conduct repairs and preventive maintenance of ground support equipment. Report daily to the Shift Supervisor and ultimately be under the management of the State Service Manager. Conduct preventive servicing, data collecting, as well as repair and maintenance tasks that reflect a trade standard. Promote a safety-first approach. Collaborate with fabricators, technicians, and assistants to develop and implement effective solutions. Work with multiple unique GSE specialised equipment. Have 5 weeks annual leave + 2 additional "Health and Happiness" leave days. Have your uniforms provided and laundered, a competitive salary and excellent mentorship. Qualifications Relevant Mechanic Trade Qualification. Have your own tools. Exposure to diesel engines, hydraulic systems and electrical fault finding is highly regarded. Hold a current and valid Driver's License. A strong focus on safety standards and relevant company policies & procedures. Experience working within procedural guidelines. Good communication skills and proactiveness. A positive attitude and proactive mindset, with the ability to work autonomously as well as being a good team player. Pre-employment police and medical checks are mandatory for this position.
