Overview TCR has a brand-new opportunity in our Sydney Workshop: Automotive Mechanic LV/HV/Plant (GSE Mechanic). Bring your technical skills and experience as a tradesman to conduct repairs and preventive maintenance of ground support equipment. Responsibilities Utilise your technical skills and experience as a tradesman to conduct repairs and preventive maintenance of ground support equipment. Report daily to the Shift Supervisor but ultimately operate under the management of the State Service Manager. Conduct preventive servicing, data collection, as well as repair and maintenance tasks that reflect a trade standard. Promote a safety-first approach. Collaborate with fabricators, technicians and assistants to develop and implement effective solutions. Utilise the wide variety of equipment and the unique nature of aviation equipment as an opportunity to bring a wide collection of knowledge and skills to the role. Work with multiple unique GSE specialised equipment. Have 5 weeks annual leave plus two additional health and happiness leave days; uniforms provided and laundered; a competitive salary and excellent mentorship. Qualifications Relevant Mechanic Trade Qualification. Have your own tools. Exposure to diesel engines, hydraulic systems and electrical fault finding is highly regarded. Hold a current and valid Driver's License. A strong focus on safety standards and relevant company policies and procedures. Experience working within procedural guidelines. Good communication skills and proactiveness. A positive attitude and proactive mindset, with the ability to work autonomously as well as being a good team player. Additional Pre-employment police and medical checks are mandatory for this position.
