Mount Isa is a great place to live and work About The Role In this vital role, you'll deliver high-quality, culturally responsive primary healthcare to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team committed to improving health outcomes and advancing the NWHHS Health Equity Strategy. Your Key Responsibilities Include Deliver clinical and health promotion services for Skin Health and Rheumatic Heart Disease. Conduct assessments, education, and culturally appropriate care plans. Collaborate with Gidgee Healing, GPs, and thesville Public Health Unit. Lead community engagement and outreach across Gulf communities. Contribute to service planning, improvement, and quality care delivery. Uphold cultural safety and NWHHS values in all aspects of work. Requirements Successfully completed a Certificate IV Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Practice) and / or Diploma in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health and holds Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner Board of Australia (ATSIHPBA). Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community. C Class Motor Vehicle Licence. Pre‑employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks. This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis. A period of probation may apply.
