Maintenance Specialist Department: Administration Job Status: Full Time FLSA Status: Non-exempt Reports To: Facility Maintenance Manager Grade/Level: Amount of Travel Required: 75% Work Schedule: Positions Supervised: None Schedule: 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. 8 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday. However, hours may be varied to complete duties. POSITION SUMMARY The Facility Maintenance employee works as part of the care team. The Facility Maintenance employee maintains all facilities both internally and externally as directed by the Facility Maintenance Manager (FMM). The Facility Maintenance employee is responsible for the facility repairs and safety of all staff and patients. The Facility Maintenance employee is involved in continuous Quality Improvement practices and measures as set by Mainline Health Systems, Inc. and in which the practice focus is based on a Patient Centered Medical Home model of care. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Facility Maintenance Work with maintenance and repair contractors to assure quality results. Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repairs as directed by the FMM. Ensures an appropriate environment for healthcare by ensuring that exam rooms, nurse’s stations, all equipment, and other relative work places are kept in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion. Will perform a planned painting and upgrade schedule for all MHSI facilities under the direction of the FMM. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Quality Management / Improvement Supports Mainline Health Systems’ quality improvement plan and performs duties in accordance to applicable standards Willingness to attend and/or complete continuing education related to this position and/or any other topics as deemed necessary to MHSI. Other Perform other duties as directed by the FMM or CFO. Attends appropriate, assigned meetings as necessary to represent Mainline Health Systems, Inc. Attends monthly clinic meetings, as needed. Attends bi-annual meetings Evaluation Evaluation of work will be on-going, and will be carried out by the Facility Maintenance Manager A formal annual review will be conducted each year by the Facility Maintenance Manager Formal goals for position will be set annually each year by the Facility Maintenance Manager SKILLS & ABILITIES Education High School Diploma or GED Required Experience Five years or more related experience preferred Computer Skills Computer skills with capabilities to utilize Excel spreadsheets, graphs, and Word documents preferred. Other Requirements Willingness to attend continuing education related to this position. This position may be required to work in high temperatures/low temperatures; wet environments. This position may be required to work in inclement weather. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS Reports directly to the Maintenance Manager EVALUATION Annual evaluation performed by Maintenance Manager STATUS This is a FLSA Non-Exempt position. This is an OSHA high risk position. This is an ADA negotiable position. This is a safety sensitive position.
