Board and Council Member – Catholic Diocese of Maitland‑Newcastle The Catholic Diocese of Maitland‑Newcastle invites expressions of interest from qualified individuals to serve on newly established Councils and Advisory Boards within our refreshed governance structure. These groups support the mission of the Church and its agencies, and provide informed, robust advice to the Bishop and Diocesan Trustees. We are looking for people who have experience in various areas that are core to the delivery of our services, including education, community wellbeing, finance and more. Members will contribute their expertise within a synodal, collaborative environment that respects both civil and Church law. Qualifications Relevant professional experience Sound judgement and a commitment to good governance Capacity to participate in respectful, consultative decision‑making Alignment with, or openness to, the mission and values of the Catholic Church Information on each group's scope and responsibilities is available on the Diocese website.
