Uniting Circle Multicultural Community Centre – Penrith NSW About the Organization Uniting Circle Multicultural Community Centre (UCMCC) is a not-for-profit organization in Western Sydney. We support people from different cultural backgrounds through programs in education, community activities, and social support. Our goal is to help everyone feel included, supported, and connected. Role Overview We are looking for volunteers to help with community engagement. This role is focused on supporting Arabic, Pacific Islander, and South Sudanese communities. Volunteers will help people feel welcome, connected, and informed about our programs and activities. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) Required Volunteers must hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) to be eligible for this role. This ensures they have the skills needed to support learners effectively. Key Duties Assist with community events and activities Support community members to understand programs and services Help people feel included and connected Provide general support during sessions and events Share language and cultural knowledge when needed Skills and Experience Speak Arabic or have a Pacific Islander or South Sudanese cultural background (preferred) Friendly, patient, and supportive Good communication skills Willingness to help and work with diverse communities Experience in community programs is a bonus but not required Benefits of Volunteering Make a real difference in your community Meet and connect with new people Learn about different cultures and community programs Be part of a friendly and supportive team Receive a certificate of appreciation Impact Volunteers help community members feel included, supported, and informed.
