Sport & Community Programs Coordinator

Tamworth Indoor Sports Centre 12–20 hrs/week | Hybrid (WFH + On‑Site When Required) Applications close Sunday 01 December 2025 Community & Business Development Lead Tamworth Indoor Sports Centre is seeking a motivated and community‑minded team member to help grow participation, strengthen school and community relationships, and support new and existing programs. This flexible hybrid role blends community engagement, program development, marketing, and competition administration. We’re looking for someone who communicates clearly, stays calm under pressure, enjoys working with people, and represents the Centre professionally. You’ll support local families, players, and community groups and help build a welcoming, inclusive environment. Start date: Early January (ahead of the February indoor sports season) Key Responsibilities School & Community Engagement Build and maintain relationships with schools and community organisations Support PE programs, school competitions, community events and inclusion initiatives Represent the Centre professionally during school visits and meetings Program Development Develop junior leagues, social competitions, holiday clinics, and community programs Support current competitions and identify new participation opportunities Marketing & Communication Manage social media content, scheduling, and community engagement Assist with email marketing, newsletters, and digital updates Maintain clear, consistent, family‑friendly communication Customer & Community Support Communicate calmly and clearly with families, schools, players, and community groups Help manage enquiries or concerns in a professional, steady manner Support staff with organised and timely communication Competition Support Assist in building fixtures, draws, and results Support scheduling and seasonal competition administration What We’re Looking For Essential Strong people skills and communication confidence Experience mentoring or coaching young people Working With Children Check National Police Check Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain) Desirable Experience in sports administration or community sport Experience working with schools, youth, ageing populations or disability inclusion Event or program coordination experience Photography or videography skills Knowledge of Tamworth’s community and sporting networks Understanding of inclusive and accessible program design Key Competencies Community engagement & relationship building Clear, calm communication Program development Digital marketing & content creation Strong organisation & time management Professional conduct & reliability Inclusive and accessible practice Why Join Us?
