Your New Role The Assistant Company Secretary is responsible for the provision of secretariat services for key Management Level Committees, helping co-ordinate and improve Company Secretariat processes and assisting the Company Secretariat to provide advice and support on secretariat matters across the Fund. Kay duties include but are not limited to; Preparation of timely papers, minutes, matters arising and agendas for Management Committees as required. Provide proactive advice and support on secretariat issues and related policies, including advice on the appropriate forum for consideration of matters. Drive improvements in Company Secretariat processes, including developing updated precedents and templates. Review Committee papers, including ensuring compliance with Charters / Terms of Reference. Collate documentation and assist with responses to regulatory notices and requests. Assist with the preparation of work programs for Board and Executive Committees to ensure all key activities are aligned and completed during the year. What You'll Need Bachelor of Laws or equivalent law degree or Governance qualification (e.g. Australian Institute of Company Directors, Governance Institute of Australia) Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Meticulous attention to detail. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills. Understanding of the legal duties and role of a Company Secretary. Ability to coordinate tasks, set priorities and operate independently. Highly member focussed. Relevant experience working in financial or professional services organisations.
