Technical Specialist

Optus Enterprise & Business is looking for a Technical Specialist – T2 Networks to join our high-performing Technical Assistance Centre (EB TAC). This is your chance to assume operational responsibility for brand new managed network and data centre services for our enterprise customers. What You’ll Do : Own and resolve complex network faults and incidents using problem management methodology. Scope and implement advanced changes across managed network environments. Set up and oversee solutions from key vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, HP / Aruba, Riverbed, and F5. Support SD-WAN technologies (Fortinet, VeloCloud, Viptela, Meraki). Operate within ITIL-aligned service management frameworks and contractual SLAs. Collaborate across teams to support transitions, changes, and blocking issues. Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Be onsite customer facing for at least 2 days a week in the North Brisbane region. What You Bring : 7+ years in ICT network engineering or service provider environments. Proficient in Cisco routing / switching, BGP / OSPF, and data centre technologies. Familiarity with Juniper, Aruba, Riverbed, and wireless solutions. Familiarity with service level, change, and transition management. Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer engagement skills. F5 LTM / GTM, Fortinet NSE, Python / Ansible (DevOps), ITIL knowledge (desirable). Experience with WWAN (3G / 4G), SD-WAN, and multi-vendor environments (desirable).
